Pokio Network Tokens

Pokio’s ecosystem revolves around two main tokens, each fulfilling distinct roles within the network’s economy and governance model.

POKIO: Native Cryptocurrency

POKIO is the foundational cryptocurrency of the Pokio network. It powers all essential operations, including transaction fees, mining rewards, and future smart contract interactions.

  • Medium of Exchange: POKIO is used to pay for transaction execution and smart contract operations once support is enabled.
  • Mining Incentive: Miners earn POKIO as a reward for solving computational challenges and producing valid blocks.
  • Security Backbone: The continuous distribution of POKIO through mining sustains the network’s decentralization and resistance against attacks.
  • Deflationary Potential: As the network matures and mining difficulty increases, POKIO may transition into a more deflationary model, strengthening its long-term value.

POKIO serves as the heartbeat of the Pokio blockchain, ensuring stability, liquidity, and utility for participants across the ecosystem.

ADAL: Governance Token

ADAL is Pokio’s dedicated governance token, enabling decentralized decision-making among community members.

  • Voting Rights: Holders of ADAL can participate in community polls and influence the strategic direction of the project.
  • Miner and Node Rewards: ADAL is distributed to miners and server operators as an additional reward for supporting the network. Each block mined grants:
    • 1 ADAL to the miner who found the block.
    • 1 ADAL to a node operator that contributed to signing the block.
  • Staking Rewards: Additional ADAL tokens are awarded weekly based on staking activities, encouraging long-term engagement and network participation.
  • Future On-Chain Distribution: Currently, ADAL is distributed via a centralized portal operated by the Pokio project. With the introduction of native token support on the Pokio blockchain, distribution will transition to a fully decentralized, on-chain mechanism.

ADAL empowers the community to shape Pokio’s evolution, from protocol upgrades to ecosystem development initiatives.
